At first, of course I was in favour of this. &quot;Bad Serbs violating a people&#039;s rights to their freedom&quot;. Then again, the point mentioned above is valid: what legitimizes a province that now has a certain ethnic majority to separate? And what of the rights of the Serbs who&#039;ve now become a minority in the sovereign state of Kososvo?

I fear the only thing we&#039;re seeing here is global politics and power play. A few days ago someone mentioned the American military base &quot;Camp Bondsteel&quot;. Isn&#039;t that one of the largest in the region? What of Serbia&#039;s historic leaning towards Russia? Isn&#039;t there something in there too? It&#039;s fun if you can recognize a separatist state when it irks your opponents, no?

Oh, I don&#039;t know. As my neighbour so nicely related recently, this quote: &quot;There are only two types of politics: the one where things are said but never done, and the one where things are done but denied.&quot;
